Not too long after the Metal Virus was unleashed and destroyed, another pandemic dawns upon the citizens of Mobius. Separated from his usual crew, Shadow the Hedgehog is on his own, trying to figure out what is happening and how to stop it, without succumbing to the infection himself. While wandering, he runs into an unlikely ally, whom he must begrudgingly work with in order to have a chance of saving the world, before it is all gone…
